New Horizon Academy's goal is to teach the whole child. Not only does NHA strive to educate the student, it also helps him to develop a responsible attitude. Timeframes are set for projects to be completed.  Accomplishments go hand in hand with NHA's goal of having each student raise their self esteem.  It has been proven that in a small class setting most students have little difficulty in raising their grade point average (GPA), leading to students feeling better about themselves.

New Horizon Academy also encourages students to assist each other in areas where they are strong.  At times the best way to learn is by teaching someone else.  NHA assists each student to choose realistic goals and affects a team effort in having the student attain such. The program not only prepares students for college, it also prepares them for the job market.
