NHA offers dual enrollment for students in the 11th and 12th grade. Through dual enrollment program, students can select challenging courses, accelerate their education, and earn college credits. Dual enrollment doubles the benefit since credits apply to both high school and college graduation. To participate in dual enrollment, the student must have a 3.0 GPA .Students with a 2.5 GPA may enroll in Palm Beach Community College’s course,  Strategies for College Success.

NHA encourages all students who are eligible to participate in this very worthwhile endeavor. The emphasis at New Horizon Academy is for students to graduate high school with a sense of pride and accomplishment.  Having college credits already in place at the time of graduation enforces that sense of pride and accomplishment.

Dual enrollment is done at either Florida Atlantic University or Palm Beach Community College. Both campuses are very close to New Horizon. Traditionally the students at New Horizon have done extremely well in the program, and parents benefit as well since there is no added tuition for the college program.
